@GlobalTriathlonNetwork

The Global Triathlon Network is an account that combines informative posts with a great sense of humor. You can find videos on training, technique, events, adventurous features and more. Plus, great to know that they are on Youtube as well with even more relevant content. You could also switch to their big brother, the Global Cycling Network.

@JanFrodeno

Meet a real triathlete. Jan Frodeno is a German triathlete who won gold at the 2008 Olympics, 3-time winner of the Ironman World Championship, and 2-time winner of the Ironman 70.3 World Championship. He’s an inspiration and you can see that by the number of followers he has.

Are you as addicted to triathlon as Jan is? Check out the checklist of 12 signs being triathlon addicted.

@ElsVisser

Being a Dutchie myself, I couldn’t ignore this account from my compatriote. Els Visser is a rising star in the women’s triathlon world and an inspiration to lots of people. Back in the days, she survived a shipwreck in Indonesia which marked her for the rest of her life. The determination and confidence she needed back then, is now used on the track.

Els has her own professional team that takes care of her performance. But if you need to figure things out yourself, these 5 simple steps to structure your triathlon training might be of help.

@GoSwimTV

This one is more focused on becoming a better swimmer rather than getting inspired by beautiful photos. It gives you all kinds of videos where techniques are being explained. It is actually the official technique app of USA Swimming and comes in very useful.

When do you actually need to start with your first swim training, when starting from scratch?

@Swimgym_com

The Swimgym account provides you with different swimming techniques. The tutorials that they offer really help you to understand the basics. And if you’re hooked due to their posts, they offer an online course. This program helps you improve your stroke efficiency, swim better, lose weight, improve your performance or prepare you for an Ironman or championship.

Some people give it a try but find out that swimming is just not for them. They do not get any satisfaction out of it. Here is a list of interesting endurance alternatives.

@Cyclingimages

Something completely different then. Russ Ellis captures two of his greatest passions, cycling and photography, and combines the two to create the most amazing images from inside the pro peloton. If pro racing is something you admire, definitely have a look at it.

Most of the images reflect riders on a road bike. But have your ever wondered what the difference is between a road bike and a triathlon bike?

@CoffeeRide

In the heart of the Belgium Ardennes, there is a little shop, cafe and accommodation, called Le Coffee Ride HQ. Based from here, the owner organizes beautiful rides, designs brand new stylish outfits and even has his own podcast (Creative Cyclist Podcast). You can feel the passion for the cycling sport and its culture when you scroll through the images and videos. Actually, instead of staring at your screen, if you have the chance, go to Stavelot, take a coffee and enjoy the ride!

@TrackClubBabe

Some running inspiration then. Kim Clark’s blogs offer daily inspiration, encouragement, and rock-solid training advice learned over years of running. When she started running marathons, her finish time was over 6 hours. Years later, her PR is 3:11. Worth taking an eye on.

Running as fast as she does is quite a challenge. But it is possible. Incorporating interval runs and long runs in your schedule is essential to get to that point.

@MarcusRuns

And this is the male version of Kim:) Marcus shares his journey to a sub 3 hour marathon, the mental side, and the determination it takes to achieve a big goal. His posts are appealing and contagious.

When it comes to running, one very important element is the notion of stretching. Kim and Marcus would agree with me on that I guess. There is quite some misconception about stretching. Hence, here are the best stretching protocols for runners.
